In short
We do not set cookies, we do not use analytics or tracking tools and we do not create a profile of you. During a visit technically necessary data is nevertheless generated, especially your IP address. Below you can find who receives this data and for what purpose.

Server log files during hosting
On every visit our web server automatically stores: your IP address, date and time, the requested address, the page you come from and data about your browser and operating system. This is technically necessary for the site to be delivered.
We use this data to keep the site stable and secure, to protect against attacks and to know how often individual pages are opened. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure operation of the site. Raw data is deleted at the latest after 90 days. Aggregated figures without IP addresses are kept longer.
The server is operated by a hosting provider that processes data only on our behalf.
Cloudflare
Our website and our email address go through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Cloudflare delivers pages faster, protects against attacks and forwards emails to our inbox. To do so Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical connection data.
The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR; our legitimate interest is a fast and secure site. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission also apply. More information: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

Tour photos are loaded directly from GetYourGuide servers (GetYourGuide Deutschland GmbH, Sonnenburger Straße 73, 10437 Berlin). To display an image your browser sends your IP address to GetYourGuide. We have no influence on this.
The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR; our legitimate interest is to show you tours with up-to-date provider photos. You can find GetYourGuide's privacy policy at getyourguide.com.
Partner links to GetYourGuide
The tour links go from our domain (addresses starting with /go/) and from there to GetYourGuide. The transfer appears in the server logs like any other visit. The link contains our partner code so that GetYourGuide can attribute a booking to us.
GetYourGuide sets its own cookies and processes data according to its own privacy policy only on the GetYourGuide site. From GetYourGuide we receive only summary reports on commissions, never names, contact details or payment data.
YouTube videos
We embed YouTube videos in advanced privacy mode. Until you press Play, no connection is established with YouTube and no data is sent to YouTube. Only after your click does the browser load the video from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). At that point Google receives, among other things, your IP address and may set cookies.
The legal basis is your consent given by clicking, Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Section 25(1) of the TDDDG. More information: policies.google.com/privacy
Storage in browser
So that the site can remember your settings, we save in your browser local storage: the currency you chose, whether you hid the booking bar, and whether an info window has already appeared in this session. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Strictly necessary for the function you want (Section 25(2) No. 2 of the TDDDG). You can delete this data at any time in your browser settings.
Contact by email, phone, or form
If you write to us or call us, we process your data to answer your request. The contact form opens your mail program; nothing is saved on our site. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR and, for questions about a contract, Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. We delete your message as soon as the request is closed, unless retention obligations under the law prevent it.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to sources such as HeliNY, FlyNYON, the Federal Aviation Administration, the National Park Service, or weather services. Data reaches these providers only when you click a link. In that case the respective provider privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), and data portability (Article 20). If we process data on the basis of legitimate interest, you may object at any time (Article 21 GDPR). You may revoke a consent at any time for the future. Just send an email to [email protected].
You may also file a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.
We do not make automated decisions about you and do not create profiles. You are not obliged to provide us with data; however, without the technically necessary connection data, the site cannot be displayed.
